Tino Cobianchi From Livorno
al Quirinale is the title of the book-length interview in which Carlo Azeglio Ciampi called for applications from Arrigo Levi, tells "the story of a Livorno who made his fortune in the world." Ciampi begins with memories of childhood, family and environment where he grew up, pointing also to the choices of faith and relationships with Pope Wojtyla. They then reviewed the years of studies by the Jesuits and the Normale di Pisa, pointing out that many of the choices "have occurred by chance, in front of different opportunities." The period of the war, the vicissitudes of the armistice, the escape from Livorno, the adventurous trip to the army already released in the South are the events with which Ciampi covers the years of his youth.
