Educating the good life of the Gospel contains the pastoral directives with which the Conference Italian Episcopal intends to offer, for the decade 2010-2020, "some bottom lines delicate and sublime in art education" in order to "renew and make more fruitful in our time commitment to education of the Christian community." In the first chapter, educated in a changing world, the Italian bishops call on the faithful to exercise "a balanced and wise insight on the deep roots of the educational" convinced that "true education must be able to speak to the need for meaning and happiness of the people. " After highlighting how the task of the Christian is "to spread the good news that the gospel can transform the human heart the interests of restoring life and hope, "the document, in the chapter Jesus, the Master, gets to the heart of the educational proposal indicating the purpose (" the development of the whole person ") The way to handle it with fruit ("placing the school of Jesus") and how they want to be a witness of the Church of God ("disciple, Mother and Teacher"). In the third chapter, Educare, a journey of relationship and trust, the IEC document outlines, inter alia, on the figure of the teacher saying that his style, his credibility and his passion not only the result "of experience and expertise, but you buy especially with the consistency of life and personal involvement." The Church, the educational community is the theme of the fourth chapter in which our bishops show and explain how "the educational challenge requires an alliance between all the actors and entities involved: family, church, school and university, the mass media and society. Finally, the text offers a series of Guidelines for pastoral planning by suggesting some guidelines because "every particular Church can design your own pastoral in line with national guidelines." With this document, our Bishops invite the Christian communities "to a thorough verification of educational" and a reflection from the encounter with Jesus Christ and his Gospel. " They want it to "priests and those who share with their service and educational responsibility" welcome "with open heart" their guidelines "that do not want to add something to what, but challenge us to clarify the educational potential already present, opening with the courage creativity of the Spirit and the breath of the mission "so that, as he wrote the card. Bagnasco in the presentation, every man can meet God "to discover the transforming power of his love and its truth, and a new life characterized by all that is beautiful, good and true.
