POSTCARDS FROM THE CATHEDRAL - N. 6

St. John should give charity to the Duomo?

A Pavia you call this a poor way to tell when a rescue is a rich man. St. John the Baptist was a small church where the cemetery is now.
But the Cathedral is rich? Under conditions in which it is poor, she needs just the love of St. John, that even the poorest of the charity.
The Cathedral is the only unfinished church in the whole the Diocese. The other churches are finite and is expected to decorate them.
Dome instead is far from completion.
E 'eternal ... "As the factory of the Dome"
Oh no! With a bit of will and generosity will end the Duomo and the expression of the other cathedrals we say, not yours.

Exhibition at the Chapel of the Sacred Heart
- Thursday October 21, 2010: Mgr. Carlo Faccendini (Vicar Episcopal Diocese of Milan) will continue the theme that the Bishop has mentioned in a recent letter to the priests and Christians Parish Institution fringe. This is a problem with which the priests, are increasingly faced. Become, more and more people who ask to meet the particular religion their needs and are content to rituals in certain circumstances or religious services to accompany the stages of transition in life (birth, marriage, death, etc.).. What attitude towards use of these marginal Christians? They are two different lines of ministry imaginable?

IDEAS IN SHELF
Tino Cobianchi

Sr. Marie-Paul Farran, Benedictine Order of Our Lady of Calvary in Jerusalem who lives in the monastery at Monte of Olives, is the author of The Rosary icons. Yes A handy little book in which the Word icon will represent the two ways in which to pray and contemplate the mysteries of the Rosary. The word, as the author points out, is "the wellspring of life engraved on every page of the Blessed Virgin and the winds Gospels illuminate and guide the reflection on the life of Jesus and through the various stages joyful, luminous, sorrowful and glorious mysteries of his ground path, and this word, however, requires, as noted by sr. Marie-Paul, "of our play to be received and understood." The icon represents "the privileged path to contemplation" as "word in the alphabet of colors, the source that flows a long tradition that unites East and West. " The twenty icons that accompany the text, by the same author, display the mysteries of the Rosary encouraging attitude "to go deeper into the reflection and to take" unprecedented nuances contained in the pages of the four Gospels. " Still remembers how sr. Farran also the image "but will need our watchful eyes to become a meeting place, appeal, healing, love." With this structure has led in the recitation of the Rosary through listening and contemplating on the Word icon. The litany Lutheran and some Marian prayers complement and enrich the subsidy. In approaching the prayer of the Rosary, Sr. Marie-Paul Farran not recommended to use only the head or the lips, but also "the heart and eyes" because "the only way we conducted in depth, in direct contact with the God who makes each of us a living icon of his love.
