9 TWO Duomo? The Cathedral is not finished. And 'only half done. E 'is not long and wide. It 'only made the long part, that which runs from Piazza Broletto Small, ie from east to west. Now there is to do the part from north to south that is the way via Bell and Bernardino Gatti. In short there is to do the wishbone, there is to be repeated across what is already done for a long time.
So are two cathedrals? Maybe two, just to be clear, but that will complement each other and together form a cross as wide as long, or a Greek cross.
From "For our cathedral," single number published on the occasion of the solemnity of laying the foundation stone, June 29, 1930. TIME IN MEMORY OF EMILIA Tuesday, March 8, 2011 died Emilia, sister of Msgr. Giovanni Volta.
We remember with gratitude for being vigilant and generous
her brother during the years of his episcopate Pavia.
And we pray for her and her family.

www.ilticino.net IDEAS IN SHELF Tino Cobianchi As a first aid for the time of Lent, which began yesterday with the rite of Ash Wednesday, we remind the new edition of the Lectionary meditation (Volume III - Lent and Easter Triduum) by Andrea Tessarolo that EDB has recently republished with the new translation of biblical texts CEI. The book contains - for cycles I and II working and A, B and C lively - readings and meditations for ashes, the five weeks of Lent, Holy Week and the feasts of saints (St. Joseph and the Annunciation) in calendar period. In practical and elegant Lectionary are also antiphons, the collections and their prayers. For each day of the week shows the readings introduced by a brief exegetical notes that facilitates understanding and highlights the essential message, followed by reflections (short for weekdays for the larger Sunday) as a start for personal meditation or community. With the knowledge that "no word has revealed that the effectiveness of sanctification" and "is not the quantity, but the commitment that each brings to receive the word of God with faith, and assimilate in love", The Lectionary meditation can really help "transform the Word of God in everyday dialogue of intense prayer" because, as the editor notes, "is not helpful to listen to a surface or mechanical," but you must "reading and meditating turn those divine words of dialogue in deep prayer."
